🚔 Operation Bungalow Update 🚔
On 9th August 2026, Acting Sergeant 1199 Moody and PC 331 Smith of the Eastfield Neighbourhood Policing Team were on proactive patrol in the Eastfield area as part of Operation Bungalow when officers sighted an off-road motorcycle on Eastway, Eastfield.
The rider failed to stop and made off from officers towards The Dell. A short time later, the vehicle was located in the front garden of an address on Westway, Eastfield.
Enquiries have been carried out and a suspect has been identified. The suspect will be interviewed in relation to the offence.
Many off-road bikes are not legal for use on public roads unless they are correctly registered, taxed, insured, have a valid MOT where required, display a registration plate and comply with road traffic legislation. Riding an off-road bike illegally on roads, pavements, footpaths, parks or other public places can result in the vehicle being seized, along with fines, penalty points and prosecution.
